Triangulations and Lattice Points

Abstract.

We study
triangulations of the plane, in which for each triangle a special point of the
triangle is a lattice point. Depending on the selection of this special point,
we  prove sharp upper bounds on the number of lattice points which occur as 
special points of  triangles. The problems are partially motivated by an 
application in numerical integration.
