- Abstract
In modern society labour market processes are changing and universities
are constantly working on their adaptation to those changes. Knowledge
society demands qualified higher education graduates with skills that
match the labour market needs. In this situation there is beyond doubt
a need for empirical information to assist in the decision making of education
institutions and policy makers. The modernization of statistical
production processes, both the information technologies and the use of
administrative registers, will allow the development of a new efficient and
cost-effective source of data to tackle this lack of information: a transition
from university to work survey.
