ICM'98

Session on Mathematical Software

In addition to the traditional scientific program (with plenary and invited speakers chosen by the IMU-appointed ICM'98 Program Committee) there will be a "Section of Special Activities". One of these activities is the session on mathematical software, to be held at TU Berlin on August 19, 20, and 21, from 2 pm to 6 pm in the lecture hall H 104. The focus of this session is the presentation of a wide spectrum of mathematical software systems to a broad audience: ICM attendees, students, teachers, etc., with a special interest in mathematical software.

A call for presentations had been issued in ICM'98 Circular Letter 17.

The presentations have been selected by a special program committee, chaired by Johannes Grabmeier, IBM Germany (speaker of the special interest group for computer algebra of DMV, GAMM, and GI):
