Research
Takumi Yokota is working on the Ricci flow and the geometry of Alexandrov spaces. They are used extensively as main tools in Perelman's proof of the geometrization conjecture for 3-dimensional closed manifolds. In particular, he is interested in geometric aspects of these theories. Some of his results are a gap theorem for ancient solutions to the Ricci flow and a rigidity theorem in possibly infinite-dimensional Alexandrov spaces with curvature bounded below.
