Green, An Essay on the Application of Mathematical Analysis to the Theories of Electricity and Magnetism, この冊子はNottinghamで 1828年に出版されているが, 初版本(前書きが７頁本文が72ページ)はほとんど 残っていない. 彼の全集は何度も 印刷され, Chelsea Publ. によって1970年に出版されているからその中で読む ことができる. また, J. Reine Angew. Math. にも三分割されて, vol. 39 (1850), 73-89, vol. 44 (1852), 356-374, vol. 47 (1854), 161-221 に収録されている. そこにあるW. Thomsonの序文も興味深いものである.
