Q. How can I go to Keihanna?

A. Please check Access in Location.


Q. Where can I stay?

A. We have reserved an accommodations for each participant. Each participant will stay at Keihanna Plaza Hotel or International Institute for Advanced Studies. (Please check the list in Participants.) Some participants will share a room. We will send the information on the accommodation soon.


Q. What times are check-in and check-out of the Keihanna Plaza Hotel? Can one get (back) to the hotel in midnights?

A. Check-in time is from 14:00, and check-out time is by 11:00. If you arrive at the Keihanna Plaza Hotel in midnights after 24:00, then, since the (north) front entrance is locked, you should enter through the west side entrance of the hotel where security agents are staying.
If your arrival at the hotel on the first day is scheduled to be very late (say, after 23:00), please write (hopefully at least two days) in advance to the reservation agent Ms. Ritsuko Yamashita [ritsuko[at]keihanna-plaza.co.jp] (with Cc: Akio Tamagawa [tamagawa[at]kurims.kyoto-u.ac.jp]) about your expected arrival time. You can also call directly to the hotel front desk [Tel: 0774-95-0101].


Q. Where are the program talks given?

A. The program talks will be given at the seminar room 216 of International Institute for Advanced Studies.


Q. What occurs on Night Sessions?

A. We reserve a little meeting room (the small conference room “Arno” in Keihanna Plaza Hotel) where white board is available. Participants can use it for a free discussion or organize a small seminar for interested participants. Talk program for generic participants will not be organized there.


Q. What can I use in our conference room?

A. There is a wired internet connection in the conference room. In your talk, You can use a blackboard, whiteboard, PC projector, and document camera.


Q. Where is Night Sessions held?

A. Night Sessions will be held at the small conference room “Arno” in Keihanna Plaza Hotel. (The left-hand side of “5F” of this map.)


Q. Where can I have lunch and dinner?

A. Please check Lunch and Dinner. See also Bento option at IIAS.


Q. Where is Banquet held?

A. Banquet will be held at the medium conference room “Koga” in Keihanna Plaza Hotel. (The left-hand side of “5F” of this map.)


Q. How do we go to Kyoto from Keihanna after this seminar?

A. We reserve buses which will go to Kyoto area from Keihanna area at October 24. These buses will stop at various hotels at which participants will stay. Companion can also take these buses.


Q. What does “TBA” mean?

A. “TBA” means “to be announced” as usual. We still keep possibilities to leave them simply for free discussions or quiet thinking for participants (without lecture-style program).
