RIMS International Project Research 2013

Fluid Dynamics of Large Scale Flows

    Last updated: April 25, 2013
Researches on large scale flows in the earth, planets and stars have been developing since the latter half of the 20th century thanks to development of observational methods and increase of computational power. The purpose of this project is to encourage interaction, discussion and collaboration between researchers working on geo- and astrophysics and fluid mechanics providing fundamental mathematical languages to describe and understand geophysical and astrophysical phenomena. Intensive lectures given by a foreign researcher and a couple of international conferences will be held to discuss recent topics in these fields and to lead to progress of joint researches. RIMS is one of the partner institutes of MPE2013, and this Project Research is the relevant activity.
