Probability and Analysis on Random Structures and Related Topics

Probability and Analysis on Random Structures and Related Topics

RIMS Symposium, 8-10 August 2022, Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, Kyoto University.

The aim of this workshop is to bring together researchers working on probability and analysis on random structures and related topics. Motivation for work in these areas comes from the desire to better understand dynamical aspects of disordered physical media, for example. Particular topics of interest might include homogenisation of random environments, stochastic processes on random graphs with possibly fractal scaling limits, statistical physics models with underlying randomness (such as random polymers), and the analysis of stochastic partial differential equations.

The workshop will be held in a hybrid style, with speakers and some participants attending in person, and an option for other participants to attend virtually.

Further information

Those participating in a research activity at RIMS are asked to read its Code of Conduct carefully and understand how this applies to them. (Japanese version.)

Please see this page for information about RIMS' response to the novel coronavirus. (Japanese version.)

It is possible to set up a temporary nursery on campus during the research meeting for the use of researchers with children. For details, please contact one of the organisers or the Cooperative Research Service Section at RIMS.
