Morihiko Saito is interested in applications of the theory of mixed Hodge modules and its related topics. He is working among others on algebraic cycles, including the construction of the relative Chow-Kunneth decomposition in several cases (one of them is with J. Nagel), the proof of the Hausdorff property of the Neron model of Green, Griffiths and Kerr, a generalization of their Neron model to the case of any partial compactification with arbitrary dimension (with P. Brosnan and G. Pearlstein), a refinement of Thomas inductive argument on the Hodge conjecture, surjectivity and nonsurjectivity of the map associating the cohomology class of an admissible normal function, etc. He is also working on the b-functions in the non-isolated singularity case and the singularity spectra for arbitrary varieties (with A. Dimca and Ph. Maisonobe).
