Tame geometry in Hodge theory and arithmetic
Abstract
Tame geometry, suggested by Grothendieck and developed by model theorists, studies geometric structures of finite complexity. After reviewing its basic definitions and key results, I will discuss several recent and striking applications in Hodge theory, moduli theory, and arithmetic.
